Audio of the Remarks of Matt Smith and Tom Sheahan Concerning Warren Jeffs

In response to the intense interest produced by our article on the remarks made by Mohave County Attorney Matt Smith and Sheriff Tom Sheahan at the Elks Lodge in Kingman on February 10, 2009, we are making available at this time the audio tape we referred to in our article, accompanied by a written transcription.
The totally unprofessional and unethical conduct of these officials is glaringly apparent as we listen to them take sadistic delight in recounting their mistreatment of Mr. Jeffs while he was a prisoner in Kingman Jail. Although their remarks were greeted by loud laughter and applause, we do not think anyone listening to the tape will be at all amused.
